This is the engineering drawings print set for the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) ME11-L Memory Expansion Unit for the PDP-11 range of computers using the Unibus. The 9-slot Unibus backplane takes up to three stacks of memory assemblies. Each assembly consists of a MM11 H213 4k or H214 8k memory, a G110 control and data loops and a G231 memory driver. Physically this consists of a slimline cabinet (identical to the slimline 3RU high PDP-11/05) except it has a standard blank DEC fascia...

How to use the CONSUL and MRD-700 A Terminal Operator's Guide and Interface Manual User manual for the ADDS (Applied Digital Data Systems) CONSUL and MRD-700 terminals. Document 80-3010-D The CONSUL was a combined keyboard and VDU screen in the one unit whereas the MRD-700 was the same logical unit consisting of a keyboard and rack mount box for connecting to an external video display. Interestingly the terminal could have a parallel I/O interface as well as RS-232 serial, and had a cassette...

Article and plan for a 21" long tracked amphibious RC model, similar to a WWII LVT in many respects. The hull is from plywood and the tracks are plastic Meccano with Decaperm motors. These days LEGO Technic track could be used, and motors and batteries have come a very long way since the 1970s.

Book 1 of Tamiya's early educational projects. These use the Tamiya sets for Wheels and Tracks, pulley set, motor and gearbox sets, submarine motor and so on. This is the Japanese edition, I don't know if it was ever released in English but it is self-explanatory. I never saw a book #2. I had great fun building these when I was a kid living in Japan for half a year in 1977.

SCM TYPETRONIC 2816 AUTOMATED DATA SYSTEM Operator Handbook Announced on 3rd March 1964 by SCM (formerly Smith Corona) this automated typing system was a desk-sized unit with an I/O typewriter. It could reproduce copy at 100 words a minute. It had a paper tape reader and a punch as peripherals. The press release in the New York Times can be found here: https://www.nytimes.com/1964/03/04/archives/four-new-machines-introduced-by-scm.html What is interesting is that it seems this machine would...

A handwritten set of notes covering the salient features of the Foxboro Process Language (FPL), circa 1975. FPL was a concurrent task programming language for the monitoring and control of industrial process control systems. Foxboro hosted it on their FOX 2/10 and 2/30 platforms, which were essentially rebadged DEC PDP-11/15 minicomputers. In appearance it was very FORTRAN-like. See the document 'FOX 2/10 minisystem' brochure for an overview of FPL.

A 1973 brochure describing FPL, the Foxboro Process Language for the FOX 2/10 minicomputer. FPL was a realtime concurrent process control language designed for monitoring and controlling industrial procedures at steel plants, power stations, factories and the like. In appearance it was similar to FORTRAN. The FOX 2 processor was a rebadged Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) PDP-11/15 minicomputer, similar to the DEC PDP-11/20 except it had only a 16-bit switch register and a KC-11 CPU instead...

Here is just a few surviving pages from the Development Manual for the IBM System 360 Model 40, the mid-range machine in the extremely successful System/360 mainframe computer series. Different hardware models designed in different IBM locations all ran the same instruction set and were plug-compatible across the range of peripherals. The Model 40 was designed and developed in the early 1960s at IBM's Hursley Laboratory in the UK, situated in the historic 18th century Hursley House mansion...

An informational booklet on the production of IBM's Solid Logic Technology (SLT) logic gate devices for the IBM System/360 series of mainframe computers, announced April 7 1964. SLT modules were an interim technological step between discrete components and fully integrated circuit packaging, and were extremely successful in the 360 series. It shows the size of the transistors used and how the SLT module was assembled. This brochure (original size 8" wide by 10" high) dates from 1964...
